Hiking Trip

For our first hiking trip of 2023, our brave adventurers hit the trails in Leakin Park. A week of rainy days made this adventure particularly fun and challenging!

As the swollen Dead Run stream rushed toward the Gynns Falls below us, we circled a three mile loop that included a fortuitous run in with a staff member of the Carrie Murray Nature Center at their outdoor aviary!. We had some impromtu botany lessons. (Can you identify a beeck tree?) And, of course, lunch!
