Fernway Outdoors Club - Fall ‘22 Season So Far

This Fall kicked off our second after school club season at North Bend Elementary Middle School!

So far this season, we’ve had four club meetings after school. Club meetings start with a chance for student to hang out at the outdoor classroom, unwind, relax, play, or get creative. After a brief welcome and some opening activities, we typically get our blood flowing with some fun and silly games. Then, we will refocus with some mindfulness or breathing activities. And share some delicious, healthy snacks together.
With out remaining time, we will begin to learn some of the important skills we will need for our hiking and camping adventure. So far this year, we’ve been working on learning the principles of Leave No Trace.

We’ve also enjoyed a handful of adventures hiking, geocaching and exploring in the Stillmeadow PeacePark and nearby Patapsco State Park. It’s been a blast!

Stay tuned for more updates on our Instagram!
